Dr. Gabriel L. Petruccelli is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopy, sports medicine, shoulder replacements, and general orthopaedics. He joined the Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group in 2012, with locations in Rockville, Silver Spring, and Germantown, Maryland. A Maryland native, Dr. Petruccelli graduated from The Heights School in Potomac, where he played basketball and soccer. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from The George Washington University and completed a certificate in Physiology at Virginia Commonwealth University. He obtained his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2006, followed by an internship and orthopaedic residency at New York Medical College-St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center/Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in New York City. In 2012, he completed a fellowship with the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship, focusing on sports medicine and open shoulder surgery.
