Biography

Niloofar Dehghan, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializing in orthopedic trauma and upper extremity surgery. Dr. Dehghan received her Masters of Science in Ontario, Canada at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation in Clinical Epidemiology and Healthcare Research. She completed her fellowship training in orthopedic trauma and lower and upper extremity reconstruction from St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Dehghan completed her orthopedic residency program at the Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Ottawa, and her bachelor’s degree from York University, where she graduated with distinction. Dr. Dehghan remains academic and participates in several controlled trials; peer-reviewed research grants and presentations. She has contributed to several journal publications and book chapters. She is an active guest speaker at many universities and teaches courses on orthopedic trauma and upper extremity reconstruction to faculty, residents, and fellows. Dr. Dehghan has been recognized for numerous awards in both academics and athletics.
