Dr. Emily Dodwell is a board-certified pediatric orthopedic surgeon specializing in pediatric orthopedic trauma and lower extremity reconstruction, including treatment of limb deformities, congenital malformations, hip and foot abnormalities, and the orthopedic care of children with neuromuscular conditions. She completed her undergraduate degree in engineering and her medical doctorate at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Dodwell completed her orthopedic residency training at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and obtained her Master of Public Health (MPH) at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her pediatric orthopedic fellowship training at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Dodwell is a Clinician-Scientist, Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College, and Director of Pediatric Orthopedic Research at the Hospital for Special Surgery. She is dedicated to improving pediatric orthopedic care through research, with a focus on comparative surgical outcomes. Dr. Dodwell has published over 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts and has presented over 100 abstracts at national and international conferences. She treats patients at the Hospital for Special Surgery and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (Cornell) in Manhattan.
