Dr. Zachary Zimmer is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He specializes in conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow, treating a range of issues from rotator cuff injuries to complex tendon transfers. Dr. Zimmer completed his medical degree at Stony Brook University School of Medicine, followed by a residency at the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as an academic chief resident. He further honed his expertise through a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Throughout his career, Dr. Zimmer has been actively involved in research, presenting at national meetings and contributing to advancements in his field.
