The Latarjet procedure was described by Dr Latarjet in 1954. The arthroscopic version has been pioneered by Dr Lafosse. In this procedure the coracoid process is transferred with the conjoint tendon attached to the anterior inferior margin of the glenoid where it is fixed with two screws. The arthroscopic procedure allows highly accurate placement of the bone block with the advantages of a less invasive procedure compared to the open operation.
