Dr. Joel C. Williams is a US-trained orthopedic surgeon with advanced sub-specialty training. He is uniquely qualified to treat ALL hip conditions, such as dysplasia, impingement, labral tears, cartilage restoration, arthritis, and AVN. His practice also encompasses fracture care and revision trauma procedures. Utilizing cutting-edge technology and minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Williams aims to reduce recovery time and optimize results. He collaborates with physical therapists, primary care physicians, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care. He works at two of the top hospitals in Chicago- Rush University Medical Center (ranked top 10 nationally) and Stroger Cook County Hospital. He completed his residency and orthopedic trauma fellowship at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. He then completed a second fellowship in Seattle, WA to focus on comprehensive hip surgery. Additionally, he has also completed two traveling fellowships in Switzerland to bring cutting edge concepts and techniques back to the US. His research focus includes outcome-driven techniques and technologies to optimize outcomes for hip problems. Dr. Williams stays at the forefront of innovation through continued education and involvement with organizations like AONA, ISHA, OTA, AHF, and AAOS. He is a a passionate educator and has gained national recognition for his educational and clinical efforts.
