Additionally, case examples are presented to review how to examine and diagnosis these patients. Surgical management strategies are also presented for root injuries through various combinations of nerve transfers. Finally, exposure of the brachial plexus is discussed through either a supraclavicular approach or infraclavicular approach.TABLE OF CONTENTS00:00 Introduction00:24 Classification of Nerve Injuries02:02 Electrodiagnostic Studies06:43 Electromyography10:20 Avulsion Injuries and Nerve Conduction Studies14:04 Brachial Plexus Examination19:18 Lower Plexus Injury Examination22:10 BRACHIAL PLEXUS OVERVIEW22:48 Common Presentations for Brachial Plexus Avulsions24:24 Management for Root Injuries24:30 C5,6 Injuries and Reconstructive Options27:43 C5,6,7 Injuries and Reconstructive Options30:10 C8, T1 Injuries and Reconstructive Options33:32 C7,8 T1 Injuries and Reconstructive Options36:41 Total Avulsion37:57 BRACHIAL PLEXUS EXPOSURE38:15 Supraclavicular Exposure (Scalenectomy)41:25 Infraclavicular Exposure (Pectoral Takedown)46:13 Conclusion
