Biography

Dr. Walters graduated from Dover High School. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors with Distinction from Harding University with an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. He attended medical school at UAMS, where he graduated with Honors in Research and the Roberts Key Award, given to medical students with the highest grade point average. Dr. Walters remained at UAMS for his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery, participating in research and receiving the Resident Teacher of the Year award, as selected by his peers. Following residency, he continued his training at UAMS and completed the Integrated (Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical) Spine Surgery Fellowship. After establishing his spine practice, he developed an interest in ultra-minimally invasive techniques (spinal endoscopy) and completed a fellowship in endoscopic spine surgery at Campbell Clinic in Germantown, Tennessee. Dr. Walters is thankful for the opportunity to provide spinal care to his home state. Dr. Walters specializes in degenerative conditions of the spine resulting in arm, leg, neck, and back pain such as spinal stenosis and disc disorders, including endoscopic and disc replacement techniques for motion preservation. When not caring for patients, Dr. Walters enjoys spending time with his family, serving in their church, reading, and traveling. He has traveled abroad on numerous mission efforts and continues to have an interest in this area.
