Dr. Ashley Mehl is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at Peachtree Orthopedics. She provides comprehensive care for athletes and active individuals, focusing on the shoulder, hip, and knee. Her interests include shoulder arthroplasty and arthroscopy, hip arthroscopy, knee arthroscopy, cartilage and ligament injuries, as well as fractures of the upper and lower extremities. Dr. Mehl graduated from Columbia University, where she was a four-year member of the Women's Lacrosse team. She earned a master's in biomedical sciences at Tufts University before completing her medical degree at the University of Queensland. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Atlanta Medical Center and pursued a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, where she received extensive training in open and arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, knee, and hip, as well as operative and non-operative management of high-level athletes. During her fellowship, she served as an assistant team physician for USC athletics, including USC football, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, volleyball, track, swimming, tennis, golf, and water polo. She also assisted with athletic coverage for the Los Angeles Kings professional hockey team.
