Brian Chimenti, MD, is an experienced, board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician at The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas. He holds a certification of additional qualification in sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Chimenti was born in Houston, Texas. He graduated magna cum laude from Clear Lake High School in Houston and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin with high honors. Dr. Chimenti completed his Doctor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and finished his residency at the University of Colorado in Denver. He completed orthopedic and sports medicine training with team physicians from the Denver Broncos, University of Colorado Buffaloes, and the Colorado Rockies. Dr. Chimenti has also served as the team physician at numerous high schools for almost three decades. He has experience in all aspects of orthopedics and specializes in arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery. Dr. Chimenti has a strong interest and commitment to hip and knee joint replacements and reconstruction using cutting-edge technology. Dr. Chimenti stays up-to-date with the latest advances in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. He’s a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the Texas Orthopaedic Association, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Society of Sports Medicine. Dr. Chimenti served multiple years as co-chair and chief of orthopedic surgery at the Joint Center for Memorial Hermann Hospital of The Woodlands. He was nominated for Physician of the Year at Memorial Herman and recognized as a Texas Super Doctor by Texas Monthly. Dr. Chimenti is the recipient of numerous Compassionate Doctor and Patients’ Choice awards. He has privileges at St. Luke’s Community Medical Center of The Woodlands, Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodlands Parkway, Memorial Hermann Hospital of The Woodlands, and the Iron Man Institute. Dr. Chimenti welcomes patients to The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre and looks forward to caring for them.
