Dr. John C. Macy is the Chief of Orthopedics at Copley Hospital in Morrisville, Vermont. He specializes in treating shoulder disorders and injuries, including arthritis, instability, rotator cuff tears, and total shoulder replacement. Dr. Macy completed his medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 1992, followed by an internship and residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center. He furthered his expertise with a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Balgrist Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland. Dr. Macy is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Shoulder and Elbow Society and the Vermont Orthopedic Society. He also serves as a U.S. Ski Team physician and is actively involved with the National Ski Patrol at Jay Peak.
