Biography

Dr. Annunziato (Ned) Amendola is an orthopaedic surgeon based in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Amendola received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1984. Following his medical degree, he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Western Ontario and then additional surgical training through fellowships at Ospedale Borgo Roma, Akron City Hospital/Crystal Clinic, and Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Center (University of Western Ontario). His clinical and research interests focus on improving the understanding, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports and activity-related problems of the knee and ankle. He has been involved in the original development of arthroscopic and biologic resurfacing techniques for ankle and knee following joint injuries This has lead to the original description of many technological advances, techniques, and devices.
