Biography
Adam M. Starr, M.D. is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon with subspecialty training in both trauma and surgery of the hand, wrist, and elbow. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and Tulane University School of Medicine. He spent 13 years caring for the members of the US Air Force and has recently joined the North Carolina Air National Guard. After serving as the Chief of Surgery at RAF Lakenheath Hospital, Dr. Starr was selected to be the first full-time Military Exchange Surgeon with England’s National Health Service, where he completed an 8-month fellowship in Orthopedic trauma at Cambridge University Hospital / Addenbrookes. Dr. Starr completed an additional fellowship in Hand/Upper Extremity Surgery at Brown University. After many moves with the military, Dr. Starr and his family are thrilled to put down roots and make Asheville their Forever Home.
