Biography

Dr. Mark A. Vitale, MD, MPH, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist, and elbow conditions. He serves as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Greenwich Hospital and practices at Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists in Greenwich, CT. Dr. Vitale earned his medical degree and Master of Public Health from Columbia University, completed his residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and a fellowship in hand surgery at the Mayo Clinic. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed scientific papers and has been recognized with awards such as the Ronald Linscheid-James Dobyns Excellence in Wrist Surgery Award and the Melvin Magida Award.
