Dr. Krishan Kumar is a distinguished pediatric emergency physician with over 50 years of experience. He graduated from G.S.V.M. Medical College in 1977 and immigrated to the United States in 1984. Dr. Kumar completed his residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx, New York, where he became Associate Director of Emergency Medicine in 1988. In 1990, he joined Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) as an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine/Pediatrics and currently serves as the Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. He has been recognized for his contributions to emergency medical services, including receiving the 'Physician of Excellence' award from the Nassau Regional Emergency Services Council in 2007. Dr. Kumar is also actively involved in academia, serving as a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at New York Medical College. He has published several papers in emergency medicine and has chaired prestigious conferences, such as the International Emergency Medicine Conference in New Delhi, India, in 2006. Additionally, Dr. Kumar is the Medical Director of the Fire Police Academy at NUMC and has been recognized by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, India, for his contributions to pediatrics and emergency medicine in the U.S.
