Dr. Harold Hunt was born and raised in northeast Texas. He attended Baylor University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in telecommunications and a minor in chemistry. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, graduating in the top 5% of his class. Dr. Hunt completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, in 2003. During his 11 years of military service, he served as an orthopedic surgeon at Fort Lewis, Washington, and in Würzburg and Landstuhl, Germany. He was deployed to Kosovo and Mosul, Iraq, treating wounded American and Iraqi soldiers and civilians. Dr. Hunt is an active member of Operation Walk, performing hip and knee replacements in El Salvador.
