Dr. Tarazona is a highly skilled orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Florida State University College of Medicine and completed an orthopaedic surgical residency at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island, where he served as Chief Resident. He pursued advanced fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles, known for treating professional athletes. Dr. Tarazona focuses on a personalized, patient-centered approach, collaborating with individuals to tailor treatment plans to their specific needs. He treats shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee disorders, using nonsurgical methods like physical therapy, blood-flow restriction therapy, and ultrasound-guided injections, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP). He is proficient in minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques and advanced technologies, such as 3D preoperative planning, patient-specific implants for shoulder replacements, and robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements.
