He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Florida State University College of Medicine and completed an orthopaedic surgical residency at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island, where he served as Chief Resident. He pursued advanced fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles, known for treating professional athletes. Dr. Tarazona focuses on a personalized, patient-centered approach, collaborating with individuals to tailor treatment plans to their specific needs. He treats shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee disorders, using nonsurgical methods like physical therapy, blood-flow restriction therapy, and ultrasound-guided injections, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP). He is proficient in minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques and advanced technologies, such as 3D preoperative planning, patient-specific implants for shoulder replacements, and robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements.
