Dr. Joseph M. Layug, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, completed his medical degree and orthopaedic surgery residency at Georgetown University. He began his private practice in 1995 and has served as Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at Laurel Regional Hospital from 2003 through 2016. Dr. Layug maintains a general orthopaedic surgery practice with a special interest in sports medicine and arthroscopy. He has been appointed to the Columbia Association Medical Advisory Board, aiming to improve the health and fitness of the Columbia, Maryland community.
