Biography

Dr. Steven L. Myerthall is an internationally fellowship-trained and board-certified specialist in hip and knee reconstruction. He practices at The CORE Institute in Gilbert, Arizona, and incorporates advanced techniques such as computer-assisted surgery, the Direct Anterior Approach to hip replacement, and Shape Matching technology for knee replacement. Dr. Myerthall completed his medical degree at the University of British Columbia, followed by a residency at the University of Toronto, where he received the Sopman Humanitarian Award in 1996. He then pursued a fellowship in hip and knee replacement surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Dr. Myerthall is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has been recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America from 2009 to 2010 and was named a Top Doctor for Orthopedic Surgery by PHOENIX Magazine in 2010.
