Dr. O’Donnell is an accomplished clinician, researcher, and educator. He is an orthopaedic surgeon with primary clinical and research interests in musculoskeletal neoplasms, limb-salvage surgery, and advanced orthopedic reconstruction techniques. He has been recognized as a clinical educator with multiple teaching awards along with his participation in national physician leadership and education conferences. His interest and commitment to research are evident through his successful completetion of the NIH Medical Scientist Training Program and his doctoral thesis in cancer immunotherapy, multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters, and podium/poster presentations at national and international meetings. During his residency in orthopaedic surgery, he developed, organized, and ran a level 1 randomized clinical trial investigating perioperative infection prevention in orthopaedic surgery. He has worked for orthobullets.com for over 10 years since its development and was the original pathology and basic science editor for the team.
