Dr. Pierre Marie Woolley is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma surgeon based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Notre Dame School of Medicine and as Co-Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Hôpital Universitaire de la Paix. Dr. Woolley is deeply involved in medical education and capacity building, with a strong commitment to advancing orthopaedic training in low-resource settings. He is a key contributor to the Haitian State Hospital Orthopaedic Grand Rounds Series, a virtual academic initiative designed to strengthen surgical education and address critical global surgery needs. In addition to his academic and clinical roles in Haiti, Dr. Woolley serves as Medical Director of Scalpel at the Cross, a nonprofit organization dedicated to humanitarian surgical care. Through this role, he regularly leads and participates in orthopaedic humanitarian missions in Peru, focusing on high-quality surgical care, education, and sustainable partnerships.
