Dr. Manes has demonstrated exceptional academic and professional achievements throughout his medical career. A graduate of A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM), Dr. Manes is deeply committed to advancing orthopedic research and education. He co-founded the Research Education and Mentorship in Orthopedics (REAM ORTHO) organization, an innovative platform designed to mentor medical students and residents in orthopedic research. He also serves on the board of directors while continually striving to grow the national organization. His leadership extends to serving on the editorial board for Orthobullets, the Blue Journal (Orthopedics), Journal of Orthopaedic Translation, Journal of Orthopaedic Experience and Innovation, and PriMera Scientific Surgical Research and Practice. He is also a peer editor for the Journal of Spine Surgery. His research contributions include numerous publications and presentations covering a wide range of topics such as orthopedic surgery techniques and the use of biologic tissues in surgical procedures. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and dog. His hobbies include exercising, trying new breweries, hiking, golfing, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs win. Dr. Manes’ vision for advancing orthopedic education through REAM ORTHO and his extensive research experience position him as a future leader in orthopedic research and practice.
