He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Dr. Manes is an active researcher and educator whose work has resulted in more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and numerous national presentations focused on orthopedic trauma, hand surgery, arthroplasty, frailty risk assessment, and surgical outcomes research. His research has been published in leading journals including JAMA Network Open, JBJS, JSES, BMJ Open, and JAAOS Global Research & Reviews. He was recognized as OhioHealth Doctors Hospital’s Researcher of the Year in both 2023 and 2024 and received a competitive research grant from The American Osteopathic Foundation and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics Foundation. Beyond his clinical and research endeavors, Dr. Manes serves on multiple orthopedic journal editorial boards, contributes educational content for Orthobullets, and founded Research Education and Mentorship in Orthopedics (REAM Orthopedics), an organization dedicated to fostering research, mentorship, and professional development among future orthopedic surgeons.
