Dr. Rafael J. Fernandez Jr., MD, FAAOS, FACS, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He completed his medical education at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, followed by a residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and a fellowship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Fernandez is affiliated with Coral Gables Hospital, Doctors Hospital, and South Miami Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
