Biography

Matthew R. Landrum, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Arkansas Children's Hospital. He specializes in complex spine deformity and scoliosis, hip dysplasia, hip preservation and pediatric trauma. His training and experience have allowed him to treat early-onset scoliosis with different options for growing the young spine, as well as both fusion and non-fusion procedures for spinal deformity. His unique training has also allowed him to help develop an open hip preservation team for the state of Arkansas. Dr. Landrum was born and raised in Lafayette, La. He attended Louisiana State University for both undergraduate studies and medical school. His residency was done at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. His pediatric orthopedic-specific training has included time at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Starship Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA. In his free time, he enjoys reading and spending time with his wife, Catherine and their two boys, Zachary and Drew.
