Dr. Tyler J. Surma is a fellowship-trained hip and knee reconstruction surgeon. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning a B.S. in Athletic Training with honors. He attended medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where he was a member of the AOA honor medical society. Dr. Surma completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Missouri, serving as the administrative chief resident in his final year. He pursued specialized training in hip and knee reconstruction at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. His surgical interests include anterior total hip replacement, partial and total knee replacement, and revision surgery of hip and knee replacements.
