Michael D. Baird, MD, is Research Fellow in Global Health and Social Medicine. He earned his MD in 2017 from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland, completed his internship at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia, and began his residency in orthopedic surgery in 2018 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda. Since July 2021, he was worked with mentorship from Dr. Michelle Joseph on two global surgery studies: (1) the Integrated Military Partnerships and Civilian Trauma systems study and (2) the Project on Trauma in Haiti.
