Biography

Alyssa Thorman is a second-year medical student at the University of Utah. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Utah in biochemistry with an emphasis in cell and molecular biology. Her research interests include pediatric orthopaedics, specifically involving medically fragile and neurologically impaired patients. She is the founder and president of her medical school’s community garden and is currently working to address food insecurity among medical students. In her free time, she enjoys swimming and coaching a local high school team, as well as running with her dog.
