Dr. Marc E. Rankin is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He has expertise in cartilage preservation and restoration, meniscus transplantation, complex knee and shoulder soft tissue reconstruction procedures, and minimally invasive knee replacement surgery. A native Washingtonian, Dr. Rankin has provided exceptional musculoskeletal care to area high school and collegiate student-athletes, as well as individuals of all ages wanting to maintain an active lifestyle. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Howard University College of Medicine. Dr. Rankin places a premium on patient education and their participation in formulating a treatment plan. When not at work, he enjoys playing tennis, golf, bicycling, and spending time with his wife and three children.
