Biography

Dr. Elizabeth Dennis is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine Surgery specializing in the management and surgical treatment of knee, shoulder, and elbow problems. She utilizes minimally invasive arthroscopy and other advanced surgical techniques to address musculoskeletal ailments such as ligamentous knee injuries, meniscal tears, patellar instability, cartilage restoration, joint preservation, shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, and shoulder arthritis. Dr. Dennis completed her medical school and residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University and a Sports Medicine Surgery Fellowship at The Hospital for Special Surgery. During this fellowship, she was part of the medical team for the New York Rangers (NHL), New York Mets (MLB), and the Brooklyn Cyclones (MiLB). She currently serves as a player physician for the US OPEN. Her special interest is in patellofemoral research, work that she has published in several peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international levels. Dr. Dennis is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Arthroscopic Association of North America (AANA), and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS).
