Dr. Sreedhar Somisetty is a general orthopedic surgeon with over 25 years of clinical experience. He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree from Osmania Medical College in India, followed by a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences in India. Dr. Somisetty pursued four years of fellowship training in orthopedic subspecialties at esteemed institutions, including the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX; Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA; SUNY Stony Brook in New York; and Boston University Medical Center in Boston, MA. His clinical experience encompasses teaching and mentorship roles as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Chief of Orthopedics at the University of Arizona, Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in Tucson, AZ, as well as providing comprehensive orthopedic care in rural Iowa at Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa, IA, where he served as Staff Orthopedic Surgeon for 16 years. Most recently, Dr. Somisetty was the Staff Orthopedic Surgeon and Section Chief of Orthopedics at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA, since 2019. As a general orthopedic surgeon, he specializes in treating hips, knees, hands, and shoulders, performing joint replacement and arthroscopic surgeries. Dr. Somisetty is board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and is licensed to practice in Iowa.
