Dr. Ruslan Safarov, MD joined the Healthstar family in 2021. He is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the care of athletes and sports injuries. He has a deep knowledge in disorders of the shoulders, elbows, and knees. ? Dr. Safarov has a deep knowledge of supporting athletes as they work to overcome injuries and regain their strength, agility, and full range of motion. Dr. Safarov completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY where he received the 2017-2018 award for excellence in clinical research. During this time he also assisted in care of the New York Jets football team. Since then he has served as the head team doctor for a local football and hockey team in Iowa. Dr. Safarov is passionate about helping people both maintain and regain healthy active lifestyles.
