Dr. Wesley K. Cox is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in disorders of the shoulder and elbow and sports medicine. A Fayetteville native, he has been practicing in Northwest Arkansas since 2009 after completing fellowship training in San Francisco. Dr. Cox received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Auburn University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and received multiple scholarships. He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at UAMS, earning the Resident of the Year award in 2004. Dr. Cox has worked extensively with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes, serving as a team physician for the Arkansas Razorbacks and as an orthopaedic consultant for the LPGA tour. He holds 11 patents and has developed products for shoulder and elbow bracing and surgical implants. Dr. Cox is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of several professional organizations, including the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
