I am a subspecialist in hand and upper extremity surgery. It is an honor to work at Kaiser Permanente with such a superb group of surgeons and personal physicians. I grew up in Peoria, Illinois, and attended the University of Illinois, where I received a bachelor's degree in chemistry. I attended medical school at Loyola University Chicago and completed my orthopedic surgery residency at Harvard University in Boston. Following residency, I completed a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at UCLA. I decided to stay in Southern California to practice. My wife, six children, and I are thoroughly enjoying Orange County and the many opportunities for a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy treating patients of all ages and providing care for the full spectrum of upper extremity disorders, but I have a specific interest in the management of wrist and elbow trauma. I am fortunate to work with an excellent team of surgeons. We are all active in research as well as the teaching of residents and fellows. My goal is to apply the knowledge that we gain from this research to the care of our members.
