Dr. Jason Genin is a staff physician in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic, specializing in Sports Medicine and Interventional Sports Medicine. He focuses on the diagnosis and management of both acute and chronic tendon injuries, sports-related injuries, and non-operative treatment of osteoarthritis. Dr. Genin has developed a multidisciplinary program, TEAM, designed to coordinate care between physicians and physical therapists, enhancing outcomes through collaborative treatment planning. He has particular expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures, orthobiologics, and minimally invasive tendon procedures. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Genin completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital and his residency at St. John Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and remains active in ongoing research related to his clinical interests. Dr. Genin has held several prominent roles, including Director of the Osteopathic Sports Medicine Fellowship, Team Physician for the Cleveland Guardians Baseball Club, and consulting physician for Major League Baseball.
