Dr. Aleksander P. Mika, MD, is an Adult Reconstruction Fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he served in leadership roles in education, developing a department-wide leadership curriculum. Dr. Mika has received multiple national awards for research and innovation, including the AAHKS Surgical Techniques & Technologies Award and the Southern Orthopaedic Association’s Andrew A. Shinar Award. His research has been supported by grants from AAHKS (FARE), the Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, and others, leading to numerous peer-reviewed publications and national podium presentations. Beyond his clinical and academic contributions, he co-founded the Medical Roommate Network to reduce financial barriers for trainees and serves as an author for OrthoBullets, as well as a Doximity Clinical Case Fellow.
