Biography

Dr. Daniel C. Acevedo is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow reconstruction. He completed his undergraduate and medical education at the University of California, Irvine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Acevedo pursued his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Southern California / Keck School of Medicine, serving as Administrative Chief Resident and receiving the Herman Epstein Award for best senior resident. He further specialized with a fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Acevedo has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and has a research interest in biologic augments for rotator cuff tendon repair, shoulder arthroplasty, and Tommy John surgery outcomes. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
