Dr. Cuong V. Tran is a general orthopedic surgeon affiliated with Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center. Born in North Vietnam, he fled to South Vietnam at the age of five. Inspired by Dr. Tom Dooley, an American physician who aided Vietnamese refugees, Dr. Tran pursued a career in medicine. He specializes in a wide range of orthopedic procedures, including minor surgeries, trauma care, joint replacements, ACL reconstructions, and scoliosis surgeries. Dr. Tran emphasizes the importance of a healthy diet, regular exercise, and mental well-being in maintaining musculoskeletal health. In his personal time, he enjoys nature, particularly the ocean, practices kickboxing for aerobic fitness, and engages in bonsai tree cultivation. He has been actively involved in his church's youth ministry for several decades.
