Having practiced in northern Virginia for over 40 years, Dr. Kavanagh is widely regarded as a compassionate practitioner and skilled surgeon. He is known for his caring bedside manner and his time spent with patients to listen and explain their treatment options. Dr. Kavanagh is board certified in Adult Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). He graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Orthopedics at Georgetown University. Dr. Kavanagh and partners founded the Orthopedic Group.
