Biography

Dr. William K. Crockatt is currently a PGY-5 Orthopedic Surgery Resident at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is on track to complete his residency in 2026, at which time he will then complete a fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at NYU Langone-ISK Adult Reconstructive Fellowship Program. Dr. Crockatt has been recognized with numerous honors for his research, including top awards at national conferences and significant grant funding. His work primarily focuses on hip and knee arthroplasty, emphasizing robotic-assisted techniques, biomechanical analyses, and innovations in surgical training such as immersive virtual reality. Beyond his clinical and research endeavors, Dr. Crockatt is actively engaged in academic service and professional societies. He is a Senior Resident Member on the Young Arthroplasty Group Committee of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and contributes as a peer reviewer for leading orthopedic journals, including The Journal of Arthroplasty and Arthroplasty Today. Dr. Crockatt is committed to the advancement of orthopedic surgery and the mentorship of the next generation of surgeons. Through his academic roles, committee leadership, and direct teaching, he plays an integral role in shaping the future of orthopedic education and practice.
