Dr. Cecilia Pascual-Garrido is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. She specializes in hip preservation and adult reconstruction, treating young and adult patients with pre-osteoarthritic and advanced osteoarthritis conditions. Dr. Pascual-Garrido performs a range of procedures, including hip arthroscopy, periacetabular osteotomy (PAO), total hip replacement, and revision arthroplasty. She leads a basic science lab focusing on stem cell therapies for cartilage regeneration and has developed a small animal model of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) to study the progression of hip osteoarthritis. Her research has secured funding from the NIH, OREF, and AOSSM, and she has received multiple awards, including the AAOS Award of Excellence and The Hip Society’s Otto Aufranc Award. Dr. Pascual-Garrido is committed to utilizing her research findings to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes.
