Dr. Mark Schultzel is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery. He serves as the Division Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at United Medical Doctors in San Diego, California, and as Orthopaedic Surgery Chair at the Sharp Community Medical Group. Dr. Schultzel is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery (AAOS), and a fellow of the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA). He is also a team physician for the US Olympic Committee and Team USA Kendo. Dr. Schultzel is committed to student and trainee mentorship, serving as an Associate Professor for the UCSD Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Touro University School of Medicine, and Rocky Mountain University.
