Dr. David Kummerfeld is a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow arthroscopy/replacement and upper extremity injuries. He also specializes in total and partial knee replacements. After graduating from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2008, he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. He further advanced his training with a fellowship at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Pasadena, California. Dr. Kummerfeld has been recognized with the Rising Stars Award by Texas Monthly Magazine from 2019 to 2022 and as a Super Doctor in 2023. He serves as the team physician for the Brook Hill School in Tyler.
