Dr. John G. Lane is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic repair of the shoulder, knee, and spine. He earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine in 1984, completed his residency at the University of Michigan Hospitals, and pursued a fellowship in knee and sports medicine at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Diego. Dr. Lane has served as team physician for various professional sports teams and holds academic positions at the University of California, San Diego, and San Diego State University. He has published numerous articles on topics including Achilles tendon ruptures, ACL injuries, and spinal cord trauma.
