Biography

Dr. Kristopher Downing is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. He completed his medical degree at UCLA in 2004, followed by a surgical internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He then pursued an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and a hand surgery fellowship at USC. Dr. Downing began his independent practice in 2010 and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the San Diego area. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
