Dr. Michael A. Venezia is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon. A native Floridian, he attended the University of Central Florida and completed his medical school training at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL. Concurrently, he earned a Master of Public Health from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Venezia completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Largo Medical Center, where he was elected Chief Resident during his final year. He further specialized with a fellowship in spinal surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Venezia has authored numerous research publications and textbook chapters, and has presented his research both nationally and internationally. He is an active member of the North American Spine Society, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and boating.
