Biography

Dr. Qian graduated from Peking University Medical Center and got his MD degree from Peking Union Medical College. He had finished his traveling fellowship in Hospital for Special Surgery(HSS), Weill Cornell Medical School in New York and London Health Sciences Centre of the University of Western Ontario in Canada from 2006 to 2007. Qian learned from Professor Laskin about the knee arthroplasty technique in the HSS, and he further studied the hip arthroplasty and knee arthroplasty under professor Bourne’s guidance in Canada. In the PUMCH, Dr Qian is known as an orthopaedic joint specialist. His major area includes osteoarthritis, rheumatic arthritis(RA) and other joint lesion induced by autoimmune diseases, like ankylosing spondylitis or systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). As a newly rising force, he is keen on learning and using new concept about the management of patients and surgical process, which makes him outstanding and benefits patients. Besides, Dr. Qian leads in many academic researches, and has so far published many professional papers. He is now in charge of a research fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Qian serves on several societies, Vice President of Youth Committee of Chinese Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Committee member of Arthroplasty (Board Member), Chinese Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, member of the Spine and Joint Committee of Chinese Gerontological Society, the editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of Joint Surgery, and so on.
