Dr. Mauricio Kfuri is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee surgery. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of São Paulo and completed post-doctorate training sponsored by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany. He has served as president of the Brazilian Orthopaedic Trauma Society and Chairperson of AOTrauma Latin America. Dr. Kfuri has mentored numerous Ph.D. students and fellows. In 2018, he co-published an extended classification for tibial plateau fractures with Dr. Joseph Schatzker. He has also edited supplements to the Journal of Knee Surgery on osteotomies around the knee and co-authored the book 'Knee Surgery: Tricks of the Trade' in 2022.
