He was a part of the Honors College on an academic scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biological Sciences, a degree in Economics, and a minor in psychology. He was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. His next chapter took him to medical school at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic, where he graduated with the highest honors. He completed residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL where he was elected by faculty and peers to serve as Chief Resident of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery during his final year. While in Chicago, he assisted with coverage for the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, NBA combine, Midlands Wrestling Tournament, and local high school athletics. Dr. Sahota completed fellowship training in Sports Medicine – Shoulder, Hip, and Knee Surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City (ranked #1 Orthopaedic Surgery program in the country). Dr. Sahota is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Society (AOSSM), American Shoulder and Elbow Society (ASES), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), and the Mid-America Orthopaedic Association (MAOA).
