Dr. Daniel Ruggles is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Nicklaus Children's Hospital. He earned his medical degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Riverside University Health System. Dr. Ruggles pursued a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and a four-month fellowship in limb lengthening and reconstruction at the International Limb Lengthening Center in Baltimore, Maryland. His clinical interests include pediatric fractures, growth plate injuries, limb lengthening, and deformity correction for congenital and acquired conditions. Dr. Ruggles has international experience, having served as Medical Director at the CURE Hospital in the Dominican Republic and worked in Haiti, Zambia, and the Philippines. He lectures at national and international medical conferences and consults for industry in developing orthopedic devices and implants.
