Biography

Dr. Shah is a board certified and fellowship trained in orthopaedic trauma. Dr. Shah obtained his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, Boston, MA, in 2002. He then completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Following residency, Dr. Shah received his fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, FL. Specializing in complex peri-articular and poly trauma injuries, Dr. Shah is a staffed trauma surgeon with Orthopaedic Trauma Service, a division of Florida Orthopaedic Institute, that he helped create. The OTS team provides expert care for patients with severe musculoskeletal injuries, including pelvic and hip reconstructions, one of Dr. Shah’s areas of expertise. Dr. Shah has been awarded Physician of the Year in 2017 by Brandon Regional Hospital and serves as their Chief of Surgery and Director of Orthopaedic Trauma.
